About me

First of all let me introduce myself.
I am a mum of three lovely kids, all grown up now, a yoga teacher, and in my earlier life I worked as a social worker in two London Teaching Hospitals. After the birth of my third child, I retrained as a dyslexia tutor and worked in local primary schools for the following sixteen years.
I now dedicate most of my working time to teaching yoga and running Menopause Awareness courses.

My Yoga Journey
Started at Aberdeen University when I was eighteen, attending an Iyengar Yoga class which was great for developing the correct alignment of postures. As time moved on I was attracted to the more gentle and nurturing approach of hatha yoga as taught by the Satyananda School, where I became a regular attendee of their classes in SW London, discovering the combined benefits of asana, breath work and meditation practice.
Juggling a career as well as bringing up three kids, yoga classes became my “go to”, where I could carve out some space for myself, stretch and strengthen my body, but more importantly, find a bit of stillness in what was otherwise a busy life.
In 2015 I embarked on my formal yoga education, completing the British Wheel of Yoga 60 hour Foundation course and then in 2018 I went on to study the 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training course at Yoga Campus London. Since then I have completed a specialist training in Menopause Yoga accredited by BWY and YA.
I love teaching yoga and am passionate about sharing the health benefits of a yoga practice for both physical and emotional wellbeing. I endeavour to make my classes accessible to all.
